DESCRIPTION:Schedule \n\nRegistration:  7:45 AM – 8:30 AM\n\nYou may pre-register and pre-pay here:  https://practiscore.com/clubs/diablo-action-pistol\n\n\nMatch:  9:00 AM – 2:00 PM\n\nMatch Fee \n\n$25  ($20 if you have a valid United Sportsmen VIP Access Card)\nWe prefer that you pre-register and pay on Practiscore\, but if registering at match please bring exact change.\n\nPrerequisites \n\nCompetitors must be “Action Pistol Certified” to take part in this match.  To become certified\, see the calendar for orientation classes.\nAll competitors need to bring or have a photo of a current USI waiver range card (“Blue or Green” card) to shoot at the range. If you do not have a current card go to https://unitedsportsmen.com/waiver/ for more information\, to watch the videos and take the online quiz prior to the class. We can issue current waiver cards at the class if you have completed the online portion.\n\nAbout Steel Challenge \nSteel Challenge is a speed shooting competition that consists of eight standardized stages with steel targets in three sizes; small circular\, large circular and square targets.  Competitors are scored by the time it takes them to complete each stage\, and the match winner is the competitor with the lowest overall time. \nOur matches have 5 stages with 5 steel targets on each.  Each competitor shoots each stage five times\, with their slowest run dropped\, excluding the stage “Outer Limits” where only four runs are shot and the top three counted.  The counting times are totaled for their stage score\, and the five stage scores are added together to establish the competitor’s match score. \nFor each run\, one hit per target is required\, with an unlimited number of rounds permitted.  The last target to be shot is known as the “stop plate”\, which stops the timer. All primary target hits made after the stop plate has been struck\, will be scored with a 3-second penalty each. The maximum time permitted for a run is 30 seconds and a competitor will be stopped and asked to reload if they reach the 30-second limit.

The object of the game is to knock as many silhouettes as possible off the stand\, shooting one round at each silhouette. It is a very simple competition\, with very simple scoring: Knocking an animal off its stand counts as a hit.\n\nAlthough silhouette is an easy game to learn\, it is not an easy game to master. The animals are rather small and the distances can reach out a bit; you must shoot offhand (standing); a moderate breeze can move a bullet or a pellet the width of an animal; your concentration becomes more difficult to hold as you knock down five in a row or with a close miss.  Silhouette is an endless challenge that makes you a better shooter!\nThis is a reoccurring event every Week- we intend to host this practice barring weather or extraordinary barriers preventing the event from occurring in a safe environment. SUMMARY:10 Meter Indoor Airgun Match\, 1st and 3rd Friday's at the USI Clubhouse
DESCRIPTION:The Airgun League runs from January through May. The shoots are on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each of those months with events for rifle and pistol. \nAll shooting is done offhand (standing) at paper targets. The format is “shoulder to shoulder”\, without point dividers\, so some shooting experience is required. There is no coaching or spotting (by another person for the shooter) permitted during the “record” firing periods. \n\nAll shoots are held in the clubhouse and there are club guns available for those of you who don’t have their own.\nJuniors (ages 8 to 18) shoot free\, but those over 16 shoot in the adult classifications.\nCompetition is by classification (shooting against other shooters in your class) except for the high overall scores. A total of twenty (20) shots are fired for record over the course of two ten-minute record firing periods. A five-minute “sight-in” firing period is held before each squad begins shooting for record.\nWe offer two relays per evening- you can shoot rifle/pistol or rifle/rifle if desired\nEveryone who shoots at least six matches has a chance to win something.\n\nAugust through December\, we offer Indoor practice on the 3rd Friday of every month. $5.00 for unlimited shooting\, 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm. SUMMARY:.22 Silhouette Shoot
DESCRIPTION:DETAILS  \n\nSilhouette Event- 4th sunday  from 9 – noon on the MPR for rimfire silhouette.  Members of all 5 clubs are welcome.   Diablo  requested a portion of the MPR (  8  positions).   We  operate concurrently with the usual USI public shoot for 2 hrs from 10 to 12.     Both the public and the match break and check targets at the direction of the CRSO.Fees are $7 for members and $13 for invited guests.  $3 go to USI for each shooter. Fees are collected at the MPR\, not at the USI Clubhouse .\nUSI waiver and a Blue Card issued from the USI clubhouse required prior to the match- there is no charge to these one time processes.\nI call the Silhouettes in the traditional Spanish\, avoiding confusion with the public shooters.\n\nSilhouette shooters are called to the bench\, guns pointed downrange\, flags inserted.  After approaching the bench\, firearms can not be touched until prompted for the live fire.\n\nUpon command\, shooters fire for 2 min.  After 2 banks of animals\, they return the guns to the rack\, flags inserted.\n\nThere is no gun handling except for the actual 10 shots per relay.   \n\n\nThis is a reoccurring event every month- we intend to host this match barring weather or extraordinary barriers preventing the event from occurring in a safe environment. The object of the game is to knock as many silhouettes as possible off the stand\, shooting one round at each silhouette. It is a very simple competition\, with very simple scoring: Knocking an animal off its stand counts as a hit.\n\nAlthough silhouette is an easy game to learn\, it is not an easy game to master. The animals are rather small and the distances can reach out a bit; you must shoot offhand (standing); a moderate breeze can move a bullet or a pellet the width of an animal; your concentration becomes more difficult to hold as you knock down five in a row or with a close miss.  Silhouette is an endless challenge that makes you a better shooter!\nThis is a reoccurring event every Week- we intend to host this practice barring weather or extraordinary barriers preventing the event from occurring in a safe environment.
