SUMMARY:Action Pistol Orientation Class
DESCRIPTION:All shooters must pass the orientation class in order to become certified to shoot on the Action Pistol Range. \n\nShooters are taught range requirements and safety and given an introduction into the games and their rules that are played at the Action Pistol Range.\nAfter the conclusion of the orientation class\, new participants are required to compete in the NEXT Steel Challenge Match (the following Sunday) and complete this match without disqualification.\nThe orientation class is not for brand new shooters/gun owners.  Participants shall be familiar with their guns and equipment and be able to demonstrate a minimum level of proficiency with it.  It is recommended that participants spend some time at a public range practicing and getting familiar with their guns and their shooting prior to taking this orientation class.  The orientation class is not\, nor is it intended to be\, training of any sort. It is merely meant to show new shooters the Action Pistol Range rules and requirements and to introduce the new shooters to the types of games played on the Action Pistol Range.\nBring a lunch or snack! DESCRIPTION:To get involved you don’t need a DGRC or NRL22 membership – while a DGRC membership will save you on Range fees it’s not required. The NRL22 membership is only required if you want to report your score up to the National Org level because you’re vying to go to the big national level matches.\nIn terms of getting started\, you can roll with a 10/22 (there are some specific safety things that we will go over with regards to a semi-auto)…you just need to have a good scope (preferably with a X-mas Tree Reticle) and a detachable bi-pod.\nLet me know if you have any further questions! DESCRIPTION:Schedule \n\nRegistration:  7:45 AM – 8:30 AM\n\nYou may pre-register and pre-pay here:  https://practiscore.com/clubs/diablo-action-pistol\n\n\nMatch:  9:00 AM – 2:00 PM\n\nMatch Fee \n\n$25  ($20 if you have a valid United Sportsmen VIP Access Card)\nWe prefer that you pre-register and pay on Practiscore\, but if registering at match please bring exact change.\n\nPrerequisites \n\nCompetitors must be “Action Pistol Certified” to take part in this match.  To become certified\, see the calendar for orientation classes.\nAll competitors need to bring or have a photo of a current USI waiver range card (“Blue or Green” card) to shoot at the range. If you do not have a current card go to https://unitedsportsmen.com/waiver/ for more information\, to watch the videos and take the online quiz prior to the class. We can issue current waiver cards at the class if you have completed the online portion.\n\nAbout Steel Challenge \nSteel Challenge is a speed shooting competition that consists of eight standardized stages with steel targets in three sizes; small circular\, large circular and square targets.  Competitors are scored by the time it takes them to complete each stage\, and the match winner is the competitor with the lowest overall time. \nOur matches have 5 stages with 5 steel targets on each.  Each competitor shoots each stage five times\, with their slowest run dropped\, excluding the stage “Outer Limits” where only four runs are shot and the top three counted.  The counting times are totaled for their stage score\, and the five stage scores are added together to establish the competitor’s match score. \nFor each run\, one hit per target is required\, with an unlimited number of rounds permitted.  The last target to be shot is known as the “stop plate”\, which stops the timer. All primary target hits made after the stop plate has been struck\, will be scored with a 3-second penalty each. The maximum time permitted for a run is 30 seconds and a competitor will be stopped and asked to reload if they reach the 30-second limit.

SUMMARY:.22 IR5050 Sanctioned Benchrest Unlimited Match
DESCRIPTION:Diablo Rod & Gun Club’s Monthly ..22 IR5050 Sanctioned Benchrest Unlimited Match held at 8 AM every 4th Saturday of the month at USI’s Multi-Purpose Range. Matches start at 8 AM. Range will open at 7 AM for set up & registration. There will be 4 – 50 -yard and 8 -100 -yard matches per year. Fee will be $16. Pls bring cash only & correct changes to make it simple. Current capacity of 15 benches. \nThis even previously was called  “.22 Benchrest Unlimited” .   IR5050  is the national rimfire association we  follow as far as rules\, classifications\, targets  etc  and we  enter our scores on their site. \nThis is a reoccurring event every month- we intend to host this match barring weather or extraordinary barriers preventing the event from occurring in a safe environment. Heavy fog\, severe weather or other acts of nature could force a postponement. \n
