SUMMARY:Action Pistol - Steel Challenge Match
DESCRIPTION:Schedule \n\nRegistration:  7:45 AM – 8:30 AM\n\nYou may pre-register and pre-pay here:  https://practiscore.com/clubs/diablo-action-pistol\n\n\nMatch:  9:00 AM – 2:00 PM\n\nMatch Fee \n\n$25  ($20 if you have a valid United Sportsmen VIP Access Card)\nWe prefer that you pre-register and pay on Practiscore\, but if registering at match please bring exact change.\n\nPrerequisites \n\nCompetitors must be “Action Pistol Certified” to take part in this match.  To become certified\, see the calendar for orientation classes.\nAll competitors need to bring or have a photo of a current USI waiver range card (“Blue or Green” card) to shoot at the range. If you do not have a current card go to https://unitedsportsmen.com/waiver/ for more information\, to watch the videos and take the online quiz prior to the class. We can issue current waiver cards at the class if you have completed the online portion.\n\nAbout Steel Challenge \nSteel Challenge is a speed shooting competition that consists of eight standardized stages with steel targets in three sizes; small circular\, large circular and square targets.  Competitors are scored by the time it takes them to complete each stage\, and the match winner is the competitor with the lowest overall time. \nOur matches have 5 stages with 5 steel targets on each.  Each competitor shoots each stage five times\, with their slowest run dropped\, excluding the stage “Outer Limits” where only four runs are shot and the top three counted.  The counting times are totaled for their stage score\, and the five stage scores are added together to establish the competitor’s match score. \nFor each run\, one hit per target is required\, with an unlimited number of rounds permitted.  The last target to be shot is known as the “stop plate”\, which stops the timer. All primary target hits made after the stop plate has been struck\, will be scored with a 3-second penalty each. The maximum time permitted for a run is 30 seconds and a competitor will be stopped and asked to reload if they reach the 30-second limit.

SUMMARY:Diablo Elections 2022
DESCRIPTION:Hello Fellow Members\, \n \nI’d like to encourage every member of the Diablo Rod & Gun Club to come out and vote on June 2nd\, 7:30pm at the USI Club House.\n \nMany of our members joined this club to get a discount at the United Sportsmen public ranges. I would venture to say many have never stepped foot into a membership meeting which in all reality is your right… You paid the money\, it’s your time and everyone’s time is valuable\,\n \nI’m asking everyone to make the attempt in coming out and seeing what there is to being a club member of Diablo Rod & Gun Club. Its benefits\, its discounts\, its activities and its community outreach and enrichment that it does on a monthly basis.\n \nMany folks miss out on some of the benefits of YOUR membership. Come to the members meeting and find out what they are doing\, what we provide and give us suggestions on what you want to see with YOUR club. The leadership team is here to serve the membership as best it can and the best way is collaborating with its membership at these meetings. Listening to its membership and acting on that feedback and reporting results of those endeavors taken.\n \nDiablo Rod & Gun will be hosting an Election Dinner at the next members meeting. The menu is still being decided but fear not\, it will be tasty and it will be delicious… oh and catered\, because who the heck wants to serve food and then clean up?! Plenty of food… Plenty of drink both unleaded and leaded.\n \nIf you are coming please fill out the RSVP so that we can get a head count on our number and be prepared. — https://diablorodandgun.com/event/diablo-elections-2022/\n \nIf you are particularly fond of cooking a dish\, Think your deviled eggs are second to none?\, Potato salad is to die for?\, Brownies or cookies that melt in your mouth?  Prove it!.. BRING IT!\nWe will have raffle prizes and other fun things. There should be free shooting prior to the meeting and we will get more info out there on the details of that soon.\n \nIn closing… I do hope to meet some new faces during that meeting. Learn where the club is going and how things are changing at our slice of heaven. Be informed and please ask questions. You as a member are our most important asset and we look forward to serving you that night and many more meetings to come.\n \nHope to see everyone there\,\n \nChristopher Payne\nSecretary\, Diablo Rod & Gun\n \n\n
