Q: What are the prices for shooting at USI?

A: Rifle/Pistol fee is $17 per day for non members and $7 per day for members of any of the 5 USI clubs (one target is included). You may leave and come back the same day (save your receipt). Law Enforcement and Military receive a discount with valid ID. Children can shoot at member rates when accompanied by a member, until they reach the age of 18. At the age of 18, the youth must become a member themselves.

Shotgun (Trap and Skeet) is $8 per round (non-member) and $5 per round for member. Juniors receive a “Youth Shooting” discount.

Five Stand range is $5.50 per round.

Non-Members are restricted to the public shotgun range.

All shooters must sign-in at the Rifle Pistol range office (if shooting rifle or pistol) or the club house (if shooting shotgun) prior to using the ranges.

Q: Does USI rent firearms?

A: No. USI does not rent or loan firearms of any type. You must bring your own rifle, pistol, or shotgun.

Q: Does USI sell ammo and other shooting supplies? How much is your ammo?

A: USI has rifle, pistol, shotgun shells, wads, primer, powder, targets, “Shoot N See” targets, ear plugs, ear muffs, glasses, cleaning supplies, bore snakes, oil, etc. available at competitive prices.

Q: Does USI offer firearms instruction?

A: YES. Private instruction is available. Action Pistol shooting requires that you attend an orientation and safety class prior to using the Action Pistol range. Check out the DAP web site for any information at this link:

Q: Do I have to be a member to shoot at USI?

A: No. Some of the USI ranges are open to the public. Anyone is welcome to join one or more of the five (5) clubs at USI to receive “member price” discounts. Each club handles their own membership process.

Q: Our company or business is interested in holding an event at USI (team building, picnic, shooting event, etc.). Does USI allow groups to use their facility?

A: No. USI is a private club, which is open to the public during business hours. We do not have facilities for such events, nor do we allow non-members exclusive use of any range.

Q: I am interested in taking a Hunter Education / Hunter Safety Course. Does USI offer this?

A: YES. Hunter Safety courses are available via an independent instructor who uses the USI classroom. This program is through the California Dept. of Fish & Game. Please click the Here for more Information.

Q: What training do I need before I can shoot at your range?

A: New shooters using the rifle and pistol range receive a “safety orientation” prior to using the range, and will be required to demonstrate firearm safety. A “purple card” will be issued to show your have successfully met the requirements. The safety orientation is available when you sign-in. New shotgun shooters must read and understand the rules posted on each field, and will be monitored by the Range Safety Officer.

Q: Does USI have food and beverages available?

A: Yes. The club house (next to the shotgun fields) has hot dogs, soda machines, beer sales, and snacks. During some club shoots, the kitchen is open for full lunches. Please check with the club hosting the shoot to find out if food will be available.

Q: What is the speed limit at USI?

A: All members and guests are restricted to 15 MPH on USI property. Be aware of children, shooters wearing ear protection (who may not hear your vehicle), and dogs off leash.
