2021 Diablo Airgun Benchrest Match Schedule & Format  – Second Saturday of each month @ the MPR Range. United Sportsman 4700 Evora Rd, Concord, CA 94520.  (Go passed the public range, up the hill, first rifle range on the right)

Apr 10 - May 8  - Jun 12   - Jul 10  - Aug 14- Sep 11  - Oct 9   - Nov 13   - Dec  11

We are currently planning to shoot two separate matches:   One 100-yard 3 card match followed by one 50-yard 3 card match.  Shooters can shoot one or both events.

.30 cal or less for 100-yard &   .22 cal or less for 50-yard.

We may adjust format according to feedback & level of interest.

Please look on the individual matches posts for more details.

We will shoot:

  • 3 National Bench Rest Shooters Association HBR-1 100 Yard Hunter Rifle Targets  for the 100 yard match
  • & 3 WRABF 50 Yard targets for the 50-yard match.

We will have 3 x 20 minutes shooting periods and roughly follow the WRABF rules less all the bureaucracy.  There will be a break to set up between the two matches.  Note these will not be sanctioned matches but may become so in future depending on level of interest. The first few events will be trial runs to work out the kinks.  Then depending on the level of interest, feedback & success we may adjust the format.

We are limited to 13 benches so pls let us know what match (or matches) you plan to shoot so we can save you as spot as we may fill up.

We will generally follow the USABR  Open Class when it comes to guns & rules so please ensure your gun qualifies as follows:

  • .177, .20 and .22 calibers are allowed for 50-yard & .30 & .25 for the 100-yard match. Pellets consistent with production availability only.  We will stick to USABR classes
  • Any power level is allowed.
  • Any weight rifle is allowed.
  • Rifles using electrically actuated or powered components, or computer processors and applications are allowed; these components need not be integral to the rifle.
  • Wind flags are allowed, however those with sensing and transmitting data to a computer device or display are not allowed.
  • Front rests using electrically actuated or powered components are allowed.
  • One and two piece rests and bi-pods are allowed (as are sandbags)
  • Scopes transmitting or receiving data from a computer device are allowed.
  • Scopes may utilize illumination.
  • Tethered tanks are not allowed. NO recharging during the course of fire.
  • WRABF scoring rules will apply. (as much as feasible, match director’s discretion)
