Diablo Rod & Gun is one of five clubs that makes up United Sportsmen Inc. We are an organization of hunters, sportsmen, fishermen, outdoors enthusiasts, and participants in shooting sports of all types. You can meet people who compete in national competitions, people who enjoy shooting a couple rounds of skeet or trap with good friends, hunters keeping their skills sharp for the season or families learning about the safety and responsibility involved in gun ownership.
We have over 2,700 members and offer affordable memberships for individuals and families. United Sportsmen Inc. owns and manages the property where Diablo Rod and Gun Club and the other clubs are based. United Sportsmen is owned and operated by the 5 clubs on the property.

Here are some of our user feedback reviews…
We love our users and are fully dedicated to keeping their trust by constantly asking for feedback from our members.
I recently participated in the Club’s Women’s Shooting Clinic. My partner & I have been members for many years but I’ve not shot there for longer than I care to remember. I’m glad I decided to attend this class! The Club members did an outstanding job! They provided breakfast & lunch which definitely helped maintain our stamina. After several videos & discussion about gun safety, gun components, etc. we went out to the range with several Range Officers to learn to target shoot using a variety of pistols. The R.O.’s did a great job of teaching how to load the magazine, proper gun grip, stance, how to aim, etc. Above all, they continually reinforced proper gun handling for maximum safety. I’m not much of a joiner so pushed myself out of my comfort zone to do this. Glad I did & hope to participate in future events there, when offered. If you want to develop a comfort level with guns, this is definitely a good place to start. Kudos to all the members involved in this event. Well done!
The club has been working hard to get things done that will allow a resumption of all shooting activities. The public rifle and pistol ranges are still a work in progress (mostly paper work at this point) but the multipurpose range is now open to members for rimfire shooting and the action range is once again holding action shotgun and rimfire speed steel matches. The trap and skeet ranges are still operating in full force (for members and non-members) and ammo is being sold at the main clubhouse. The club social dinners are the third Tuesday of every month at the main clubhouse. It’s a great group of people and new members are always welcome.
Had an opportunity to deal with Christopher Payne when I was not proficient enough to renew my membership on line. Although his web message said he prefer that he be contacted by email which I did he called me back within two hours and walked me through the process. So why am I writing this? Well so many times you are left with a customer interaction that is below standard that when someone takes the time to actually walk you through something that you don’t understand it is both professional and empathetic, qualities that you don’t find always and he is truly an asset to this club. The club by the way is excellent and you can tell by the folks that volunteer there. As an avid skeet shooter, this is the place you want to be and the club you want to join. A shout out to Chris Payne for being a real pro.
