First Post Corona Reloading meeting notes- 7/21/2021

Ron Mc. came out and did a great demonstration of using wet case cleaning, put up a good summary of the differences between the wet vs dry on the Hunter Ed White board.

We did a little live fire- I compared velocities for non lead . 22 magnum and .17 hmr  vs lead projectiles- as you'd suspect, the non-lead .22 magnum was about 100 fps faster, but in 17 hmr, the Vmax lead cartridges were 100 fps faster than the Non lead.

Same rifle, everything.  Go figure.

 

Ron was working on some loads for his M1- getting enough oomph to cycle but not so much to damage the action. Got some interesting results for his efforts over the chrony. 

 

Lightly attended, we still had a good group. Great people, generous and helpful for all!
