Next Sanctioned IR5050 .22 LR benchrest match will be Saturday 1.22.22 at 8AM at the MPR range. As usual the range will open at 7 AM. Please come early to set up and register. Cost will be $19 for the main 3 card match + an additional/optional $1 for the optional fun event that will follow. Please bring exact change with preferably small bills. This will be unlimited class and most will shoot custom benchrest rifles, however a number of shooters usually compete with factory rifles so please feel free to come with whatever .22LR you have.
The main match will consist of 3 - IR5050 cards as usual. This will be a sanctioned match and subject to official IR 5050 rules. We will follow it up with a couple options for the fun match: Option 1- our usual fun gun (factory) one card 50 yard match shot on bipods or sand bags (no benchrests) for those interested. Option 2- at the same time, we will shoot two 200 yard cards (10 shots in each) with our benchrest rifles. We will have a sight-in period before the 200 yard match to dial in our scopes from 50 to 200. For those who want to shoot 200, please consider setting up your rifles with a 20 MOA rail or shimmed scope rings.
Please share with your friends & let me know if you intend to come. We have 20 benches but we only have 15 2x4 rigid frames that will go to the first 15 shooters. If more than 15 shooters come, they will need to use the 1x2 frames. I will draw benches and send out bench assignments on Friday. This will allow us to comply with IR5050 by randomly selecting benches ahead of time so as not to give anyone unfair advantage or the appearance of an advantage.

We had nice weather but extremely challenging wind conditions today at the MPR range for our monthly IR5050 match. Wind was very strong and ever changing in terms of direction and strength. Excellent turn out with 16 shooters came out and fun was had by all.

Benchrest Group:
- Pierre finished in First Place for the main match with 730 & 27X.
- Francis finished in second w/ 726 & 29X
- Dan was third w/ 725 & 28
- Phil was fourth w/ 719 & 21
Factory Group:
- Congratulations to Dave finished first amongst the factory rifles with 705 & 13X
- Art was second with 679 & 8X
- Rick was third with 675 & 9X
- Mark was fourth with 673 & 7X

Special shout out to our rock star scorer Greg Wilson whose lighting speed scoring allowed us to be in and out quick wihout too much down time in between matches.
We will have two matches in February:
Factory & air guns only unsanctioned 50-yard match on the 2nd Saturday Feb 12 @ 8 AM (range opens at 7) will be shot only Bipod or sandbags only, no benchrests, no tuner, no custom barrels. Airguns are included and will compete against each other. Any caliber up to .22. Cost will be $8 for Diablo members or $13 for non-members + $1 optional for the 200-yard match
IR5050 sanctioned unlimited match on the 4th Saturday of the month, Feb. 26th @ 8 AM (range opens at 7). Factory guns welcome and will compete against each other. Cost will be $19 + $1 optional for the fun gun or 200 yards match.
